yep. we have also bought the pram!

after seeing and having a play with lisa's bugaboo bee, i really wanted one, so doug and i went looking on ebay... and found a red one, with all the extras including the new born cocoon (which i really wanted - cause baby k is going to be born in the middle of winter - that's if it ever freaking gets cold again
in this ridiculous state...)

how exciting!! the one we have bought is in nsw, so my lovely bestfriends dad is going to go and collect it for us
and have it sent over :)

it's all very real now... getting ready for it to join us, buying clothes and prams and stuff... and the beautiful thing kicks all the time. i am glad though, cause i know everything is okay and that it's growing okay. :) cannot wait!!

today we farewelled one of the greatest men we have ever met...

paul pinker

it was an amazing funeral, packed to the brim - with about 600 people turning up to fill the ballajura chapel, and again at the graveside - words from the heart, powerful musical items and a stirring rendition of the haka before the lowering of the coffin.

doug was given the privelege of being a pallbearer and carrying paul to his final resting place at pinnaroo cemetery.

it truly was an honour.

one of the boys at the chapel summed up everything about paul perfectly with this quote from the american poet

monday night doug and i were extremely saddened to hear of the sudden passing of a very close family friend, paul pinker. we have known the pinker family for years... and are devastated to know that he's gone. so young, and so long before his time. a perfect gentleman, so full of love and life, willing to give everything he had to others.

we'll miss you paul - every single day...

unfortunately not looking as pregnant as i'd like...

in most clothes i still just look fat

(which is a good thing i suppose - i've still got quite a way to go!)

but it's definately in there!!

last week, miss grace turned 8 so off we trekked to kalgoorlie over the weekend for her baptism. what a wonderful girl our grace is. tiny, sweet, enthusiatic, lovable, cuddly, strong, determined and just... gorgeous. i'm not biased at all, i swear. she received the print above from the neighbours, for a baptism gift - and it describes her so perfectly, for if anyone will climb a mountain,
it will be our grace.

it was so lovely to see grace in her beautiful white dress (the same one i wore to be baptised!) all those years ago - and laura wore too! - followed by big sis laura's flowergirl dress from our wedding. it was a wonderful day and i was so pleased
(and extremely proud) to be a part of it!

doug came home from the funeral yesterday and its so good to have him back!!

but i know that papa will be missed by a lot of family and friends. i have had reports that more people were at his funeral than stake conference!! he was a lovely man and we were truly blessed to have him as part of our lives...

my only consolation, is that my children will know him, because we are an eternal family, and with us, it's not just until "death do us part"... we will be together forever, and he will know his great-grandchildren - even though they're not here yet

so papa... "until we meet again..."
