and charlie st cloud (so cute!!)
and chowed on down the pictured feast.

it is imperative, that even if one is not usually a triple j fan

last night dannii, cody, chad, doug and i hit up the australia day fireworks in kings park (yes, we braved it and walked there from my work.) i still haven't decided whether or not it was worth the walk, but as always it was a spectacular show!!

i am so proud to be an australian, and especially on australia day...
there's quite simply no where i'd rather be! :)

milestone no. 1

my first big milestone...

on monday morning i put my work skirt on and tried to do up the button, and it no longer fits! well... it does, but not comfortably that i'd be happy spending a whole day with it killing me.

so nappy pins it is - holding the tp of the zip together.
my own nappy pins - that mum gave me a few weeks ago - from the days that i wore nappies. :) all together now... awwwwwwwwww

narnia

i will never deny that i am a complete nerd when it comes to books. i always have been. but there is one that i could read over and over and over, a land that i would love to visit, that sounds much more exciting and full of adventure than ours could ever be. in fact, if i was to relocate anywhere... it would definately be to narnia. c. s. lewis is truly the most wonderful writer, creating that world that i can lose myself in.

i love that place, talking animals, unspoiled landscapes, humans treated as royalty (perhaps the best bit haha) hot boys (if the movies "prince caspian" and "the voyage of the dawn treader" are anything to go by - that prince caspian is a hottie!!) never ending good turns and of course the "odd" battle. what a perfect place.

we saw "the voyage of the dawn treader" the other night, and although they continue to make changes to the books to make them screenable, i still love them.

baby kendall

so... for those of you who don't already know
there will be a baby joining the kendall house in july this year!

very exciting news! :)

(i was 12 weeks on saturday (08.01.2011)
meaning it is due on 23rd july)
but we'll keep you all updated

mum to be is not enjoying morning (pfft all-day) sickness
dad to be is estatic
grandparents are beside themselves
and baby is growing well

news as it breaks will follow!

broken hearts

twice in two weeks, i saw something that
absolutely broke my heart

two women, who didn't know each other -
but went through the exact same thing - just days apart

just around thirty years old, married to "the one"
with young kids..
and then everything gone - when their husband was taken away
long before his time

i often wonder how on earth this is fair?
why it has to happen...?
i am well aware that there is a plan - oh do i know,
but it didn't stop my heart breaking for these women -
who had everything they had ever wanted

i just hope they can cope -
cause heaven knows i couldn't
"you have to!" they both said, "there's the kids"
but all i can say is wow

and may god be with you til you meet again:'(
