basketball is done and dusted

this little champion made it through his term of basketball skills at altone park swan active and loved it! i was actually incredibly proud of him as he gets distracted easily, but he stuck this one out and made it to the end. 

he got a lot of good feedback from the coaches, that he was good at shooting and dribbling - and i think it really built up his confidence so we are really happy about that too! i love how proud he is here to show off his certificate too. what a champ. hopefully at some stage we will be able to get him into some form of actually playing sport, but for now i am super happy with this! you go joseph kendall! 

 

pro baller

this little nugget started basketball boot camp (okay maybe it's u10 basketball skills) at a nearby rec centre a few weeks ago. oh my gosh does he love it! he is freaking ruthless and is always out to get that ball and get it in the hoop. he's actually not done too badly with it either, with a lot of his shots making it in. it's so nice to see him running and moving and being into sport. bball was always on the cards, because his dad loves it and the most important person in the world, his precious aunty dom loves it. lol. i'm hoping that by doing the rest of the term, he'll like it enough to play in the summer season as it arrives around again in term 4. funers crossed we have another sports mad child in the house. haha.

 

hanging with uncle theron

it was dougs day off today and he decided to go and hang with theron because they hadn't seen each other in a while... while i went on to my friend alexs house for a catch up

when i came back to get him though, madeline decided that she was ready to party and proceeded to go and try on all therons shoes and then play basketball with him until we threatened to drive of without her. she loves theron and the entire pinker family so much and it's always so much fun to watch them together.

even our little teething grump got in on the action and had a try with a pair of therons shoes, then grumped out the door and slept all the way home.

lily gets hotttt

my friend lily and i haven't know each other well for all that long, but we get along like a house on fire... (totally found this out during hula rehearsals) and when she asked if i knew anyone that could help her get all prettied up for the wildcats mvp ball (her husband everard plays for them) i totally called in reinforcements (sister in law niques and gf jo) who made her look hot as. yes, i confess, all i did was paint her fingernails.

ev was happy to wait (amazing... i bet girls all over the world are looking for a man like that...) - he obviously knows that good things are worth waiting for, cause the end result was amazing! 

she's amazing without makeup, but looked so exotic with it on... and by the time she added that dress and heels

last night at about 5:30 we got a call from tracy from my work... offering us tickets to the wildcats semi-final - that started in just over an hour. um yes please!! how exciting - maddie's first basketball game :)

we had the best time - and maddie babbled the whole time and threw her hands around like a crazy - loving it. so much fun ♥
