miss madeline had her birthday party today -
thankfully masks and restrictions were lifted just in time and we were good to go. she looooved her day and told me it was the best party ever.
we had it at the local roller skating rink in malaga (which i must say was not amazing. they didn't have anyone in the booth when we arrived so we could go into our party, yet told us to arrive early for our room... then were jerks about the fact that we chose to bring our own food even though that's an offered option on their website - and then were rude about the clean up which i knew i had to do, when i asked them for some cloths and a broom to clean it up. wowsers. great customer service guys!) thankfully the kids were none the wiser and loved it all. we ordered in pizza and brought along our own drinks then enjoyed the cake for dessert.
maddie was so proud of her cake and i was thrilled. it was worth every minute it took to put it together.

aunty jenny made these incredible cookies for the guests to take home,
that also had a hidden surprise, the were neon glow in the blacklight cookies!
she and the squad had the best time skating about and grooving to the music together. i heard plenty of laughter and chatting.
