a trip to joondie

school holidays and dads day off call for a day of spoiling. we went to joondalup with the kidlets and had some fun. first stop was toymate (our first time there actually!) and oh was i impressed. the kids loved it instantly, because of the huge monopoly map printed on the floor. not everything was cheap, but some things were really cheap! we nabbed a hey duggee playhouse for the little dude for just $40 to put away for his birthday, another hot wheels truck and car set (joseph's latest obsession) and some nanables for madeline. i loved the nanables so much, they are exactly something i would have liked when i was her age. i had something similar actually called cutie clubs. teeny houses and people that i loved playing with. i even used their little houses in my dollhouse so they could have their own dollhouse too.

after hitting up the toy store, we went to the shopping centre and had lunch. i swear that is the kids favourite thing to do, have a meal anywhere other than our house haha. one day they will probably kill me for this photo being in my journal, but it made me laugh so hard looking at them getting into it.

alex thought he was fancy too, with his little bowl of nachos. what a cutie!

this is obviously not the most exciting post i have ever done, but it was a nice day. lots of fun being with these little nutters and enjoying each others company. i am sure we are going to have a good time these holidays. a lot more fun than our last one spent hidden away at home during the peak of covid in wa. bring on the fun!
