rugby roos

after a whole bunch of convincing from heaps of people we know, especially our bishop paul, joseph has embarked on a rugby clinic covering the next few weeks. day one was yesterday and he really liked it! sooooo that's good. he ran, he caught the ball, he gasbagged with the other boys (see above lol) and we will do it all again next week. let's hope he still likes it then.

***********************

edited to add. he loved it! but then grandma died and he missed the last one which was a full day workshop to end them off, as it was the day of her funeral :( hopefully next year once the season starts again he'll get back into it and give it another try. doug's family have always been rugby obsessed so we can only hope he gives it a go sometime in the future.

state of origin

mother of the year strikes again... i woke miss madeline up on state of origin game one night - just so we could say she watched it. as you can see, she was more than happy to have a cuddle with daddy while queensland kicked new south wales to the kerb.

of course a good night of sport is just not complete without pizza and beer (ginger of course!)

rugby world cup

yesterday was the rugby world cup final for 2011 and we had a mini party with jamie-lee, mark, tony and deb. maddie was the star of the show in these little booties that were loaned to her for the occasion, and she was thrilled when daddy's team (also now her team!!) won the game!

anyone who knows me will know that rugby is not at all my thing (i think that my mother-in-law almost had a nervous breakdown when she realised she was gaining a daughter-in-law who had absolutely no interest in the sport), but maddie i am sure will love it just as much as her daddy when she grows up.

me however - i love the haka. i mean i love the haka. and you my friends can watch it here.
