so... i gave homemade bread a go... and it wasn't terrible. admittedly i decided later than i should on a sunday afternoon, the attempted to make it quickly, from scratch. many bad ideas there haha.
but. it wasn't terrible. i picked the first recipe that popped up (which you can find here) that didn't look too hard and went for it.
we ate it piping hot from the oven with butter and jam and it was yum! but i think it will probably be better the more attempts i make at it and the more time i put into it.
it did, however, rise beautifully and i was super proud of that... until i put the uncooked dough in the car to drive to my mother in laws and it started to sink a little in the pan... another rookie mistake.
